In this Reader's Theater adaptation of The Giving Tree, students step into the beloved story of a boy and his tree. The tree gives everything — her apples, her branches, her trunk — and asks for nothing in return. But as the boy grows older, he never stops to say thank you. He never stops to notice.
Will he finally see what he had all along?
Perfect for grades 3–5, this play brings the classic story to life as students discover that true gratitude means more than saying thank you — it means seeing the people who show up for you, noticing their sacrifice, and choosing not to take them for granted.
